Come and join us for an Introduction to Mindfulness (Full Day Retreat).
This is a chance for you to discover how Mindfulness can help you to self-manage stress and anxiety in a friendly, supportive environment.
During the day, you will be introduced to simple Mindfulness practices that can be integrated into everyday life. The purpose of this day is to show you how taking a pause can help to self-regulate the body’s response to stress & anxiety and to help build personal resilience.
This Mindfulness Retreat is suitable for you if you have never experienced mindfulness before or, you have tried to learn with Apps and Books but feel frustrated. You are also welcome to join us if you have already completed an MBSR course or have an established practice but would like to practice with other people.

Where is the Introduction to Mindfulness?
Horwood House is situated in the village of Little Horwood, Milton Keynes surrounded by Buckinghamshire countryside.
Little Horwood is a short taxi journey from Central Milton Keynes Train Station, making it easy to get to if you’re looking to escape London for the day.
If this location is not suitable but you’d still like to learn mindfulness for beginners, we offer the full Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Courses in various locations and via Skype 1-2-1 mindfulness coaching.
What happens during the day?
- Jo will guide you through various mindfulness practices that make up the Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR) curriculum in the morning and afternoon workshop sessions
- You will have time and space to reflect on your experiences of practicing mindfulness throughout the sessions & during the tea and lunch breaks
- 9.30am – 10.00am – Arrival refreshments
- 10.00am – 10.30am – Welcome & Introduction to the day
- 10.30am – 1pm – An Introduction to Mindfulness Workshop
- 1pm – 2pm – Lunch & access to hotel facilities
- 1.30pm – 4pm – Mindfulness Practice & Reflection
- 4pm – 4.30pm – Farewell refreshments
